Te Rōpū Tohutohu (Māori Advisory Komiti)


In January 2022, the Board appointed Te Rōpū Tohutohu to act as OTBNZ's Māori Advisory Komiti, supporting the Board and secretariat in implementing their Tiriti engagement plan

Te Rōpū Tohutohu joined the waka to provide expert advice on Māori cultural matters that will guide the Board in their strategies to ensure kaiwhakaora ngangahau in Aotearoa are practising culturally competently and safely. To date, Te Rōpū's contributions to OTBNZ's deliverables include (and are not limited to) the Board's strategic documents, accreditation standards, monitoring report, and working with Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiarangi to develop a whakaora ngangahau occupational therapy programme in the coming years.

Te Rōpū will operate under the clauses set out in the Terms of Reference.
